Heads And Asses
The Telegraph in Britain has uncovered some rather disconcerting information regarding Israeli negotiations with the United States to secure flight corridors over Iraqi air space as a part of a plan to attack Iranian nuclear facilities…
“A senior Israeli defence official said negotiations were now underway between the two countries for the US-led coalition in Iraq to provide an “air corridor” in the event of the Israeli government deciding on unilateral military action to prevent Teheran developing nuclear weapons.
“We are planning for every eventuality, and sorting out issues such as these are crucially important,” said the official, who asked not to be named.â€?
You know, it amazes me that the Israelis feel they have the right to even plan a preemptive attack based on fears of Iran acquiring a nuclear capability when they themselves have a secret nuclear program and a nuclear weapons capability that, were anyone to even contemplate its ‘preemptive’ destruction, it would cause the entire Western world would begin hyperventilating (though don’t for a second think that the United States is at all guiltless in encouraging this).
That’s not to say that the current Iranian government hasn’t used ill conceived rhetoric regarding Israel, but the realities of possible repercussions in the region provoked by Israeli jets bombing Iranian targets are simply too terrible to contemplate.
