I have never been a big Prince fan, though I have certainly always respected and admired his genius, but his performance during half-time at the Super Bowl epitomized everything that is electrifying about traditional rock and roll. I could care less about the dancers and all of the special effects, his guitar and vocal performances may have helped keep real rock and roll alive for another ten years.
