A Few Updates
I want to first thank everyone that’s purchased Born Losers from the iTunes Canada store. It’s currently sitting at #14 #12 after only being up for a day, which is amazing. For those of you in the United States waiting for information as to when it will be available, the record itself will be for sale as of the 31st of July. As for the single, I’m not going to give away the surprise just yet, so hold tight.
With regards to this fall’s tour, Thursday night or Friday morning will see a handful of dates announced here on the website, as well as information as to when they’ll be going on sale. Please remember that not all of the dates are being announced, so don’t worry if your city isn’t included in the initial list.
Lastly, as most of you are already aware, Hospital Music will begin streaming in its entirety on Friday. Unlike Born Losers, you will have to be a registered member of the website to access the stream, which is completely free and only takes a few minutes to sign up for. If you want to sign up now, click here or click the link located at the top, right hand of the page.

Awesome, can’t wait for the tour dates announcement.
So will there be b-sides on this single?
June 27th, 2007 at 4:15 pm
With regards to how well the song is doing, congratulations Matt! It’s on my ipod and being played frequently. Looking forward to hearing the rest of the tracks on Friday,

it’s going to be the next free single download on itunes USA………….a soothesayer told me
June 27th, 2007 at 4:25 pm
Let’s generate enough of a buzz so that stations in Canada and the U.S. will have no choice but to promote this album. Talk about turning corporate radio upside down on its head…
June 27th, 2007 at 4:28 pm
if that’s true then that’s great… it’ll be some good promotion in the states for matt. way to spoil it though :)
June 27th, 2007 at 4:28 pm
I can’t wait for the tour info. i know ths fall will be amazing! (come onnnnn halifax *crosses fingers with excitement*)
June 27th, 2007 at 4:29 pm
Ahhh, nevermind, I realize you were talking about the specific US iTunes single.
June 27th, 2007 at 4:33 pm
Man, I hope Ottawa is on that list for tours Friday..
June 27th, 2007 at 4:37 pm
All you canucks crossing your fingers for canadian tour dates… lol. Of course Matt will stop in your town or close enough to it. You’re his primary fan base. Instead, cross your fingers for poor old me here in Cleveland, the dark horse candidate for a tour stop. Every time I’ve seen him live, I’ve had to travel 4 hours and cross international borders. Just once I’d like to drive 20 minutes to see the man… ;)
June 27th, 2007 at 4:38 pm
Flin Flon….FLIN FLON!!!!!
June 27th, 2007 at 4:48 pm
I hear what your saying and your probably right… but nonetheless Matt has had issues in Ottawa with Dipshits causing problems.. like the throwing penny at their head incident… But your right he’ll be here!!!
June 27th, 2007 at 4:51 pm
Congratulations Matt…that is amazing. I add my $0.99 to your collection.
June 27th, 2007 at 4:52 pm
I really hope part of the tour in some form (whether it be the band or acoustic, or even both) will be after the 23rd of December.
Agh, the curse of ALMOST being 19…
June 27th, 2007 at 4:59 pm
Is there a ballpark for the time the album will start streaming on Friday? I just ask because I am off to Indiana for the weekend and leave at 8:30 a.m. EST but will come online early in the morning if I know the stream will start at midnight or something. I really don’t want to have to wait until Sunday! lol
June 27th, 2007 at 5:03 pm
Really looking forward to Friday. Hope to see Regina on that concert list!
June 27th, 2007 at 5:15 pm

June 27th, 2007 at 5:49 pm
I just downloaded the song on iTunes! Yay! But still… I can’t wait for the actual CD to come out. I’m still old fashionned. I like to buy the actual thing, see the artwork, put the disc in, press play! It’s amazing. Anyways. :) Great on your position in the iTunes chart!
June 27th, 2007 at 5:50 pm

1) can’t wait to hear the new album in its entirety, the quick previews have been great
2) congrats on the iTunes position, not to take away from it at all but look at the top 10…ew
3) any plans for US dates? NYC / Philly / DC? 2006 was the first year in forever void of an MG show :( 2007 can’t continue that trend
4) if (3), CD’s at merch table? Not a big fan of downloading, nor paying $20 for “international” shipping but I

Congratulations on a successful launch.
June 27th, 2007 at 6:57 pm
Just downloaded it - sounds better on my computer than it did streaming (only because it’s ‘mine’ now!)
I look forward to getting my hands on the rest of the album and adding the cd to my in car 6 disc cd changer… now I just have to figure out which matt good cd gets taken out!
June 27th, 2007 at 7:02 pm
You know I’ll be the first one to buy tickets for a Kingston date. It’ll be MG show #7 and counting.

is it at a specific time on Friday?
June 27th, 2007 at 7:43 pm
Releasing on vinyl?!?! Haha im obsessed……i found an avalanche vinyl and it sounds sooo good it takes up all my time.
June 27th, 2007 at 7:53 pm
Haha, Flin Flon. I love Canadian place names. Wish I could buy the single but that mention of a surprise makes me think maybe the US version of the single will come with a download-able Matt Good life sized cardboard cutout or something.
June 27th, 2007 at 8:18 pm
I gots 99 cents for the cause!
June 27th, 2007 at 8:31 pm
Does anyone know if the tour will be open to those of us that are minors? I saw him last year at the Cultch in Van and was absolutely amazed. I mean, I had previously seen him at The Vogue for his White Light Rock and Roll Review tour. But, nothing beats his solo accoustic, except maybe Roger Waters; that concert was something else entirely. Anyways, does anyone know if his shows will be no minor shows?
June 27th, 2007 at 8:32 pm
it’s #1 now. i love it - transferring to my ipod right now!
June 27th, 2007 at 8:36 pm
uuhm… in rock, that is ;)
June 27th, 2007 at 8:44 pm
Sorry dude, can’t do the iTunes thing, but I’ll more than make up for it with an absurd amount of CD purchases on the 31st. So excited for the album stream, what an awesome way to celebrate the long weekend!
June 27th, 2007 at 8:45 pm
i’m a huge fan of your older music and in my humble opinion (but a fan’s opinion nonetheless) you just keep getting better and better. when i think of Canadian pride, i think of you - your talent and contribution to our culture is so appreciated! we (my friends and I) are exceedingly proud of your accomplishments…
June 27th, 2007 at 8:58 pm
Great to hear the single is doing well. Everyone I know that has heard it has loved it. It was my first iTunes purchase ever (being a CD buyer).
The Born Losers sketch is brilliant–I hadn’t said that yet but I’ve thought it a zillion times.
June 27th, 2007 at 9:36 pm
Dale, yer killin’ me man. Emo. Heh. heh.
June 27th, 2007 at 11:04 pm

June 28th, 2007 at 7:18 am

lucky you———– the one and only time i saw him I had to fly from Phoenix AZ to Buffalo NY. I did get to meet him and the band after the show. His drummer Pat gave my 12 year old nephew a drum stick. It was his first concert and the kid still hasn’t stopped talking about it.
The Hip has sold out venues here in Phoenix, I’m sure Matt would too.
PHOENIX,PHOENIX,PHOENIX!!!!! (the real dark horse in the race)
June 28th, 2007 at 7:41 pm
Soo, uhhhh… I totally just Pre-Ordered the CD from Amazon.ca, since I can’t get it in Oregon and I want the disc jacket and stuff, so Itunes isn’t good enough for me.
June 28th, 2007 at 8:21 pm
I cannot wait for this album. Unfortunately fer me, I have dial -up and can’t stream the album tomorrow. So sad.
I cannot wait for the tour either. I saw Matt at the Hamilton Show suring the White Light Tour. Me and my brother were like the only ones with lighters above our heads..oh don’t I feel so childish now that I think about it..but that was most definitely an amazing show. That was my first Matt Good show. Wow…
June 28th, 2007 at 9:06 pm
congrats Matthew…you deserve it
