Hospital Music Updates
As the release of Hospital Music approaches, there are a few updates that are of note.
The US iTunes Store is now carrying a few new back-catalogue titles, as well as those that have always been available - the two US versions of Beautiful Midnight. US iTunes patrons are now able to purchase In A Coma, White Light Rock & Roll Review, and Avalanche.
iTunes USA is currently in the process of designing an Matthew Good artist page as well, which will most likely become active when Hospital Music is released on the 31st of this month. It’s also important for those in the US to remember that ‘Born Losers’ will be the Single Of The Week on the iTunes US Store as of the 31st, and is a completely free download. They will also be offering Hospital Music for $7.99 as well.
The website stream of the record will be removed from the site on the 30th.
Born Losers will be added to the Audio/Video section of the site.
The Hospital Music Facebook application will also be updated. If you don’t yet have it, you can get it here.
Like the pages that exist for past releases, Hospital Music will have its own page, complete with lyrics, notes, and links to various places that it can be purchased online.
If you want to order Hospital Music in advance of the release, refer to the following…
The official Matthew Good Online Store (international shipping).
* Autographed copies of the record are sold out.

Can’t wait to have my copy in hand.

Just a note for anyone in the UK who’s thinking of ordering it from Amazon UK - it’s £18.50 on the UK site, but if you order from the Canadian Amazon site with the normal airmail shipping it comes to $24.50 which is about £12.50. Based on past experience it shouldn’t take any longer to arrive from Canada, given they have the UK release date set to the 7th of August.
Does anyone know why my pound sign comes out as a hash when I use firefox but not now that I’ve used IE instead?

Thanks Susie, I was wondering about that.

I can’t wait for it! Although buying through iTunes is a great deal, I’ll still be buying 2 copies in the stores (I have 2 copies of every album…1 still unopened, and the other for everyday use)
Matt, do you know how many card copies will be initially released to stores?
July 23rd, 2007 at 5:51 pm
what are card copies?
what are card copies?
All I mean by that is an actual CD. With iTunes, etc becoming a big part of music, more people are opting to buy music digitally, via the internet.
I was just curious how many CD’s of Hospital Music were shipped out.

I didn’t want to take any chances missing out on a hard copy on the release date, so I ordered mine from the music store.

What’s the difference between the two US versions of Beautiful Midnight? I have both the Canadian and US (Explicit) releases, and the differences between the two are both abundant and clear.
This “clean” version, however, is new to me. Anyone care to clarify this for me?
thx,
J

I love all your CD’s Matt, but this one excites me the most since Avalanche, which is my all time favourite CD. Of anyone’s.

I also used Amazon.ca instead of the US site, just as I have done in the past with Matt’s releases. Watching the calendar is a slow process…
