Looking forward to it. I’ve been waiting for these two guys to have a new sit-down for a while.

2. hicks_bw Says:

Wow, I did not know that this caliber of interview ever took place. Thankfully I was watching Newsworld this morning and saw the advertisement. This is going to be very interesting. Two of my favorite political commentators on the same show. WOW!!

3. hozman Says:

I listened to Matt on the Strombo show last night. Look for forward to the hour tonight.

4. Kevin Says:

Sweeeet …. looking forward to it !

5. proxy Says:

Cool, hope I don’t forget.

6. alan Says:

Looking forward to it. I’m a big fan of the show so I was pretty stoked on Friday when they previewed the upcoming week and low and behold, Matthew Good on day one. Awesome, can’t wait.

7. hopeforchange Says:

I live in the US! *cries*

I will pray that I can catch here it or on their site itself..

*edited because I was to blurry eyed!*

8. Jaylin Parsons Says:

Itunes will offer free episodes of the Hour in their podcast section for anyone who is interested or misses the event.

9. taraden Says:

Cool….

@ Jaylin Parsons….. Thanks for that little tidbit. I am afraid I will be sleeping by the time the show airs… but it’s nice to know that it will be available through I tunes.

10. Miranda Says:

Matt and George, together. On one show.
Christmas has come early for me this year!

11. Witchy Woman Says:

I missed his last visit to the show so I will be unplugging the phone and turning off the computer tonight for sure. Should be a great interview, can’t wait. Cheers!

Aw, we were driving and heard an advertisement for the Strombo show earlier in the day yesterday. They mentioned nothing in the ad about who was going to be on the show that night. Is it the exact same interview only it was on radio?

13. jeni25 Says:

whoo-hoo I’ve been waiting for this :)

14. Beth Says:

Thank goodness I live in Buffalo where we get CBC. Word.

15. bunster10 Says:

Looking forward to the link later!

16. Tanya Says:

It’s actually on Channel 26 (Vancouver) at 5pm… Newsworld channel.

17. LeafsFan101 Says:

I am an Ativan User as well and a big George fan, so it was good to see ya on the show tonight.
I take Ativan for panic attacks, but I am finding lately that I take it even when I dont have one. I was never told of the addcitive qualities of it. Ive been taking it for two years…. Thank you for shedding some light on the misuse of Ativan… I used to like not thinking.. now I am not so sure.
Thanks for the light in the darkness Matthew.

YIkes, it was a repeat hope no one was glued to the tv because of me saying it was on at 5pm…. sorry.

19. Pew89 Says:

Glad to say I’ve met both of the people in that video (George at my school, Matthew while he signed autographs at the Massey Hall show). In a bit of a funny point, George was talking at a conference at my high school and he made the point that for every Gene Simmons who is it it for the money, there’s a White Stripes or a Matt Good.

20. TOflat Says:

I thuroughly enjoyed this interview. There are not a lot of people I’d actually listen to or are worth listening to for the most part. George Strombo. and Matthew Good are two of those people who, when they say something political or otherwise, should be paid attention to. Too bad the interview was so short! I’m sure there could be quite the discussion had there been more time to get in depth about things.

21. Moonlight Graham Says:

Enjoyed the interview, wish it was longer. Now we gotta get u on The O’Reilly Factor so you can drop logic-bombs on his face (and we know u wouldn’t be intimited by Mr. Shout-y). oh well i can dream.

22. deb Says:

Matthew Good & Robert Bateman. Two of my favorites artists…what a treat. Gotta run - I’m just watching it on TV now and Matt’s interview is up next.

23. jrmourant Says:

concision, concision, and more and more concision.

24. deb Says:

Geez, the triple threat. Another one of my favorite Canadians, telling leotard stories (Bret Hart). Great show tonight. Well done Matt, although the short segments don’t do the show justice - wish each guest had just a wee bit longer as it’s just a little too rushed.

25. Cabbage Says:

I enjoyed this, lots of topics were covered in a short while. I wish they didn’t spend so much time on the preview/bio parts and more on the interview. The writers of the show seem to not realize if someone is interested and enjoyed a segment, they will look up more information.

I’m not certain- but I swear there were no Hospital Music snippets. It was strange with a voiceover talking about current Matt Good while playing music 10 years old in the background. I imagine this isn’t their fault but they were unable to obtain Hospital Music soundbites.

Great show, having both Robert Bateman and Matt Good on one program was amazing.

26. dirk Says:

Managed to catch the interview.your comments on Chavez were right on.Finally a little context…

27. misterwah Says:

I’m glad my Ativans come only 20 at a time.

Thanks, as always, for a dose of respectable reality.

I’m just guessing but that would probably have to do with the lack of a “video” for Born Losers or any other song on the album.

I also really enjoyed the interview. I don’t know how I missed it on tv though… when I went to watch it was an episode from back in September. Oh well, thanks for the internet!

29. Jenuine Says:

Great interview!
Really enjoyed seeing two intellectual 30 somethings get into some important issues.
Matthew, for being out of your comfort zone, it was refresheshing to see how open you were on your experience. I’m sure it will perhaps lend caution to Adivan users out there. My father also is Bi-P, and I thank you for your courage & willingness to shed light on this “disease”.
Fan of your talents as a singer & songwriter. New Fan of this site!

30. pleite platte Says:

Thanks for putting up the interview/link.

31. bunster10 Says:

Great interview. I really enjoyed it. Thanks for providing the link! :-)

32. aketch Says:

Neat interview Matt. I”m fortunate enough that even though I live the in US my cable company carries CBC.

33. HalifaxRedemption Says:

It was too short. I always like hearing Matt in interviews he’s interesting and funny. I like more casual type interviews like discussions he’d have with Tony Pierce and they would post as podcasts.

34. bestosmile Says:

I would’ve liked to have heard more.
Oh, and Matt’s still a total fox.

35. Marc Bradley Says:

haha, crowd surfin durin apparitions… oh god…..

good interview… thanks for postin’…. i was workin last night

36. angelboo Says:

Great interview.. thanks for posting!

37. Phaedra Says:

I like that George didn’t really seem to have an agenda, and just let Matt talk. I wish it could have been longer too, as I feel there could of been alot more said. Thx for having this up as I didn’t get home til late.

38. Kendall Says:

God damn Matt’s hot!

39. jnifer Says:
God damn Matt’s hot!
I second that comment. WOW Matt you look fabulous…

40. still_goofy Says:

matts not look as skinny as he used to
great interview

i wish my mom brought me a beer to the shower

41. hopeforchange Says:

It was a great interview.. I would have loved to see more talking in regards to BiPolarity and the different types there are. Nice blazer..

42. Nick Says:

Is there anywhere I can listen to the interview Matt did on the Strombo show? I was planning on listening to it but I had to leave for work and missed it.

43. Tibbychick Says:

When I first glanced at this topic quickly, I thought it said the interview was by George Stefanopolous, and I almost fell off my chair.

Thanks for putting the video up, we don’t get CBC down here. I used to watch that show all the time when I lived in Toronto. He did a great interview with Mark Wahlberg awhile back too.

44. RedMile Says:

Thank you very much for posting this as I completely forgot to check this out last night. Great interview.

45. satchboogieca Says:

Really good interview!

Thank you for posting it. I don’t have a TV (oddly, I have my VCR as it was shipped up here) so I could not watch it.

~Robert

46. Justene Says:

I enjoyed that interview - its clear there is some definate chemistry between Matt and George, and its good to see an interview as friends and not so much as the contrived media we normally see.

Its ironic though that considering there is the whole t-shirt (which shall be nameless) that forever follows him, when he does press or the pictures from concerts (that I’ve seen) , he always looks well dressed and totally stylish! I think that shows further respect for his fans.

47. tiffanychantelle Says:

Great interview Matt. You’re looking amazing! It’s nice you got to talk about politics too. Yay George S. He was awesome on Much Music back in the day… Hehe.

48. Tibbychick Says:

Just watched it, I literally laughed out loud at the fact that he set his teacher’s garbage can on fire! Too funny. And I’ve still got one of those bumper stickers! I had one on my old car and another that I still have. Great interview though.

49. phouse Says:

My problem with that interview was that it wasn’t long enough. I would love to see Matthew Good on Charlie Rose.

50. technologique Says:

Matt, you deserve more air time. Regardless, that was a great interview. Too bad I missed it yesterday. I think you should appear on Henry Rollins’ show, that would be interesting for sure.

51. Eric-Head Says:

I hated the interview, what was the point of bringing up political and international issues if you’re not going to get the guy actually comment to any length on them? I mean, if we wanted a history of Matt Good, we all know where to look on the website for the “Hospital Music” entry. George also played exaclty what Matt said the media did in regards to the “Matt is a real Asshole” t-shirts. Matt is capable of a lot better and he wasnt given the opportunity.

52. Cypridophobic79 Says:

Amazing interview. You never fail to impress, and the fact that you addressed the bi-polar issue was awesome. I have several family members who suffer from this disorder and it is great to see someone in a public position admit that they are affected by mental illness. It certainly plays a part in eliminating the social stigma associated with these conditions.

53. paulo Says:

Thank you, Matthew, for being straight about bipolar on TV. I have bp as well, and have always been frustrated with people’s refusal to acknoiwledge its prevalence. Not all BP’s are like Kurt Cobain. Anyhow, cheers! Good job!

54. kimmay Says:

Enjoyed the interview Matt. There is such a stigma regarding mental illness, bringing it out in such an open and honest manner really helps some of us that aren’t so brave.

55. Fray Says:

I personally think it would’ve been great if there’d been less time spent on things like the asshole t-shirt, and more on the influences behind your recent album, as well as your openness about bi-polarity. Regardless, it was a great interview and I hope it helps the site community grow and earns you a few more fans, Matt.

56. liz_can2002 Says:

yah too bad it wasn’t longer, i dont like how questions are asked and then not enough time to answer it hence matt blah blah.

but it was still good.

57. Sel Says:

It was great but too short ! And that Stephanopouthing guy, wow he talks fast ! It was the first time I saw this show, tought it was pretty cool. Matthew, you were funny and smart as always !

58. goldmourn Says:

Yay!

59. a GOOD friend Says:

I cannot figure out why, but i can only watch about 2 mins of this before it just stops. For no reason. Is there anywhere else i can see it or is there something wrong with the the link/ my player????
HELP???
