I wanted to quickly send out my thoughts and best wishes to my old neighbour Beth, better known to most of you as Bif Naked, who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer.
Beth’s a tough lady, and I’m sure that she’ll face this with the same fortitude that she has displayed throughout her career. Again, my very best wishes go out to her and her husband Ian during this trying time.

What sad news. All the best to Bif and her family at this time. She is actually the second woman this week that I have learned has breast cancer. A very close friend of my mother not only just found out her daughter-in-law has breast cancer but a few weeks before her son was diagnosed with tongue cancer.

I saw this on the bottom of the screen on muchmoremusic (I know, I know) and I actually gasped out loud. Weird thing is I had a dream last night I was diagnosed with cancer? Strange parallels. I hope everything works out for her. It’s an awful thing to hear.

Best Wishes Beth!! I think somehow breast cancer has touched every one of us in some way- a mother, a sister, a cousin, an aunt, a grama, a friend…
Breast cancer,as in any cancer i suppose, truly isnt discriminant among those it chooses to afflict. My aunt went through this battle over the last couple years and is now in remission. This is a battle you can beat!!!

This is truly sad news. Been a big BIF fan for a long time. This is a true example of “why do bad things happen to good people”?

they just had a little blurb on ET about her…kind of incredible that she caught it how she did. Hopefully that will be in her favor.
They made mention of pesticides on veggies/salad and the link to estrogen/breast cancer. If anyone else saw it, I’d like a recap. Just sort of had it on in the background. Of course they can never pinpoint causes, etc., but it’s always worth listening if there’s information that can help reduce the risks.
Again, so sad, but nothing but optimism as she’ll beat this thing.

If Beth is reading this, take to heart these words: they now know how to treat this. One of my best friends was diagnosed 8 years ago. Hers was a stage 3, aggressive kind and she thought that was it. Well, we had a lovely tea over the holidays. She told me that she checks off each milestone: her son entering high school, her daughter’s confirmation, all the things she thought she was going to miss Christmas Eve 8 years ago.
