I just got back from a week in the southern US. Along the way someone commented to me that if Obama were to win, the terrorists would be dancing in the streets. I replied that if Obama won, people all over the world should be dancing in the streets. I just got a blank stare...

Whoa, and Fox news claims that CNN loves Obama.

It's all because he wore some things that they found questionable. You know, going to some country in Africa and wearing something in a picture that had to do with that places culture.

His name is controversial because not of him but the name.

I disagree with him on things, but jesus fucking christ, this is stupid.

and the worst thing, is that the media is unbia I hated that too.

The funny thing is most people on both sides believe the bs half of the time. I wish comedy central would come out with some news netwrosedh if te story is good. They love the story if it gets them high. That's why I am not going to be a hypocrite and say the new york times john MaCain deal was alright.

COmedy Central should come out with a news network. The two shows they have at least point out things, get ratings, and do it with out bullshit. Sure it's comedy but it's better than the others.

OH, and welcome to America, may the media direct you to hell.

Let's face it, the only thing that would stop Obama's momentum more than the support of terrorists would be

"CONSERVATIVE CHRISTIANS SUPPORT OBAMA"

Dear God, what would McCain do?

Pffft the Pentagone, what do they know? Of course Saddam Hussein and Al-Qaeda were linked...if not, why would the US government go to Irak? At least the US government didn't do anything as bad as Al-Qaeda: go IN a country and kill people on their own ground.

Oh shit, wait a minute...

(For those who are sarcasm-blind, please note that this last post was sarcastic...)

On another note, I heard terrorist support the Dalai-Lama as well...I think my water heater told me (which, lets be honest, is way more believable than CNN...)

*Applauds your thoughts on Iraq and 9/11!!!!

As for the Saudi Women: I never knew women were not allowed to drive there. Wow. The simple things our society takes for granted. I'm glad that this was peaceful activism, and proud to be a woman when I hear this kind of stuff.

I hope the penalty for driving isn't the same for being "accused" of witchcraft. Can we just kinda do like Carlin suggested and put the religious nuts from America and Saudi Arabia in a fenced off area and let them have at it, put it on PPV and give the money to a good cause.

It really is scary to think that today's society in the United States has been completely shaped by 9/11. In the last 7 years, the American Government has used 9/11 to spawn mass fear, and war mongering campaigns, and there are a lot of people getting very rich off of it. Hopefully, the American public can realize this, and start taking action against this kind of abuse of power.

It is also very sad how so many people take everything they see in the news as fact. Take for example the numerous stories that we hear every day about cell phones causing brain cancer. One can use simple physics and common sense to debunk this myth. The fact is that cell phones use radio waves to send and receive information. True, radio waves are a form of radiation, but not a form of radiation that carries enough energy to break the bonds in DNA molecules (cause cancer). In fact, visible light (also a form of radiation) contains much more energy than does a radio wave. If radio waves (and subsequently all forms of radiation with a higher energy) caused cancer, none of us would be here today. Yet, everywhere you look, you can still find a plethora of articles and news stories claiming definitive links between cellular phones and cancer. Just because someone who appears reputable says something, doesn't always make it true.

All bullshit as usual, he has shrugged off these attacks well from what ive seen, and still holds such integrity in not slipping to Clinton's more aggressive political campaigning. She has thrown in a few low blows, and he has held himself as a gentlemen who doesnt want to get drawn into a personal battle. I did like how he stood his ground yesterday though and announced a joining wouldn't be on the cards. "Im running for president, not vice-president". It will be interesting to see if Clinton fancies herself as second on the ticket either. Its amazing how his utter lack of experience and fresh naivity the world of 'real politics' isnt enough to stop him from being a great vice though, ay.
You know, some no-name yahoo can e-mail around a completely fabricated and poorly written piece of xenophobic garbage about Barack Obama... it will become viral and some people will believe it.
YOu should look up Iowa Rep. Steve King and some of the shit he peddles. Most recently: terrorists would rejoice if Obama won, Obama's middle name is a major issue, etc.

<i<And in a country in which journalism has, in many ways, been transformed into something akin to the Jerry Springer show, it’s not difficult to see how, in the quest for ratings, the fourth estate can be so utterly abused to the point that it is no longer serves its base purpose, but rather a purpose that is wholly dedicated to protecting its own interests by placating government and corporate entities to ensure financial growth. </i>

Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me much to find that Springer and his ilk were an experiment to see how numb to lies and garbage the American populace could become, and proved a success with the propaganda that ultimately led us to war in Iraq.

Good lord, I sound as though I'm typing this with my trusty tinfoil hat on.

But then again, you have to wonder when you realize that one of the few news shows that has a shred of truth to it is the one that was designed to make fun of current events.

What chance does the truth have when personal opinions and outright falsehoods are presented as facts on flashy "news" programs by respectable-looking men in suits who use Confident TV Anchor Voices?

Civil disobedience... good for Wajeha Huwaider.

wow... just wow.
what was that "terrorists support obama" in the context of? i'm trying really hard to understand such a ridiculous statement.

"it shouldn’t be overlooked that what happened that day was responsible for spring boarding many of their careers."

good reminder...
