Last night Dina was rather concerned about the state of my hair, so she offered to cut it for me today. So I let her. Turned out pretty good too.
Last night Pete and I went over what we’re going to do tonight, hung out and shot the shit while Lance made Beth Vodka Grapefruits. As is always the case, Lance’s endless road stories took center stage and had us all laughing.
Couldn’t sleep last night though. Watched Juno, which was great, and then sat in the dark listening to the hum of the humidifier in the corner of the room, an eerie orange glow streaming through the window slats. I think I finally passed out around four.
Tonight should be a lot of fun. It’s an earlier show, so it’ll be nice to have time afterwards to catch up with friends and attempt to get a decent night’s sleep before going to San Diego tomorrow – though I somehow doubt that’s going to happen.

Nice job on the cut! Watch the sleep loss though, I just went through a no-sleep-for-two-weeks phase and collapsed during a business conference… wouldn’t want that happened to you during a show (or anywhere else for that matter)! But seriously, take a supply of those Vodka Grapefruits from Lance to help you sleep ;) If your blood pressure lowers too much you won’t make it to Montreal in May!

Glad to hear you’re having a good tour thus far. Like a lot of folks, I’m living vicariously by reading the setlists and chopping my way thru some selections… I don’t suppose there’s anyway you could manage to add a Newfoundland stop to your tour? We could use the visit.

I must say that with the haircut and the lil’ smile that you are sporting you are looking quite a bit more chipper than you did in San Francisco. I was outside talking with the doorman wen you came in and you seemed rather rundown as if you had been on tour for months on end… I just assumed it was due to not feeling well. At the door I noticed you sticking by the people you were with to make sure they didn’t have any problems getting into the venue… they went in and you stayed there until they had all made it in. I appreciate it when people have other people’s back and though it is a small thing it still speaks louder than words… anyways, the haircut suits you and take care.
