It’s a beautiful evening here in the great city of Toronto.
I had meant to post this on the weekend, but was too eager to watch the Jays knock the KC’s from pillar to post and plum forgot.
My bad.
Of course I’d forget, I mean what a great week we got coming up. Matthew Good, the full band show, at the the holiest of holies - Massey Hall! Break out the cheese and the salami, this should be a good one!

I’ve got to apologize. I’ve received about a dozen emails in the last week asking if there’d be another meet and greet prior to the show like the last time Matt played Massey.
So I’m sending up a flare.

Anybody looking to meet other members of the matthewgood.org community prior to the show, go to the Library Pub on Dundas. (Go to the upstairs portion). We shall say for around 700 PM or 1900 hours, whichever comes first.
That’s about two blocks north of the venue.

This won’t be as formal as last time, and sorry no Tony Pierce or Duane.
Maybe Dale will be there again. My buddies Phil and Raymi the Minx should be there.
In all honesty the last time was a real good go, and the people I met there were some of the nicest on the block. A lot of the feedback I received afterwards was really positive too.

So come on out, don’t be shy, introduce yourself and have a pint or glass of Jamies with me and celebrate some Craic with other great members of this friendly community before the show to end all shows!

I’ll be in the powder blue cursing Frank Thomas.

Hoping to make it to meet you all before the show,so exciting. I missed the chance at Bala in October so I really am hoping I won’t this time around. *jumps for such a joyous occasion*
Report
Har, I’d be there if it wasn’t several days of driving/hours of flying away.
Any other Saskatoon-area fans?
Report
See! This is the kind of thing I need! But in Vancouver. Anybody?
Because I know that I am going to leave my parents house at 9am just in case I get horribly lost in downtown Vancouver. However I’ll have so many different kinds of directions printed out that I’ll probably be outside of the Orpheum by like 10am. And there I’ll stay for fear of getting lost if I decide to wander in any given direction.
Note to self: pack a sack lunch, it’ll probably be a long day. But oh so worth it!

You guys have a great time!! Any of you going to Kingston? I’m flying over for the weekend from the UK, just to see Matt (me, mad?? NOOOOOO!!!!) as I have mentioned countless times…but I would love to have someone who will stand at the front with me (I’m vertically challenged, you see…) and who I can share photo-taking with.
Shame I won’t get to meet Patrick…he looks well delic!!

Stormydog: Try to catch the Montreal show Friday night unless you’re only getting in that day! :) A bunch of us are getting together for that show! Not sure of any pre-show activities, but you never know! :)
Report
Wish I could…I’d die to do that :0).
But I fly in Saturday morning (Toronto), take an Elastic Airlines flight to Kingston, cab to motel, shower, put on Special Tee-shirt and run to AJ’s for the night of my life..:0)
Then…fly home Sunday pm, back in UK Monday am, back to work Tuesday. It’ll feel like the end of the world…
Report
well, I’m flying in from nyc and won’t know a single person. I’ll definitely be there.
Report
@Stormydog - Oy! That sounds like the whirlwind trip!!! But I’m sure it will be well worth it in the end!! :D And yeah, the jetlag might be a bitch. ;)

Aren’t the doors opening at 7?

Aw Brian…can’t you make one of the shows?

I’ll be going to the Kingston show too, since I got my TO ticket before I knew of the Kingston show.

Unknown forces seem to be conspiring against me once again - as the Matt Good Travelling Road Show and Rolling Ministry moves west, I of course will be heading East. As an example; he just played Peterborough. I will be just outside Peterborough later in June to early in July at my mom’s cottage - had the dates coincided it would have been a perfect opportunity - make sure granny is watching the kids on the island and that Pop has enough scotch, and I could have snuck away (a la Sean Connery with my clothes under my dry suit and everything).
Another time.

So it seems I have an extra ticket to the show at massey tomorrow… I bought two and my date, well my date no longer dates me.
Two options:
1) Buy the ticket from me
OR
2) Meet me at the Pub around 7 and buy me a pitcher or something
option 2 is more fun. None of my friends listen to matt good and I just cant sit through it with someone who isnt loving every second of it aswell.
tudor09@hotmail.com
My 3rd option is to meet someone on the subway/street. thought I would give you guys 1st choice.

holding down the ‘Kingston fort’ till the entourage returns. Have a blast all!!

Hey Matt,
Any similar pre-meet and greets taking place at a certain diner near a theatre?
Report
As I am clearly (not) Matthew Good I can only confirm there will be a be a meet a greet at Wrigely Field in the bleachers, just prior to the show in Wawa, ON.

Quoting Sharon:
Well, if you want to team up….I’m brunette, five feet fuck all, I’ll be dressed in black, head to toe, but with a bright pink personalised Matt Good Tee-shirt…maybe we can share photo taking when we hopefully meet Matt afterwards?

Hope you all have fun tonight!
Meanwhile, I have an extra (possibly 2) ticket for the Montreal show. Cost: $22.50 (taxes included). For those who would love to go to the show but can’t afford it, give me your legitimate reason and I will consider giving the ticket away.
You can contact me at: bunster10@hotmail.com
Cheers!

Hey all, long time MG fan and third-time concert-goer here. Just wondering what time people tend to arrive at the Library? My friend’s coming in from Sarnia and wants to meet up before the show and I’m trying to work out timing. Thanks!

I am to Matt as Orco is to He-Man (80’s cartoon 1%er there), but I’ll take the compliment!
However, my wife is usually the one that draws all the looks whenever we’re out and about.

It was great meeting everyone earlier, and such an amazing show.
Those timings were for Massey Hall, they’re more than likely to be later for non-theatre shows (Halifax was all an hour later and Moncton an hour and a half later).
