True, Hamilton has made me somewhat more interested in F1 after the Schumacher years.. He did phenomenally well last season, I was up at 4am in a bar in Sydney watching the last race live to see if he could clinch it, ah well, he’s got a big future. McClaren dont seem to be able to get their shit together this season for some reason, they look a little off the pace. Speaking of which, tell me, you’re a fan, why cant Honda reclaim their racing pedigree? They are purebred racing through and through that company, and yet their results since going their own way from BAR havent been convincing. They are failing again this year and it bothers me! The world’s largest engine manufacturer, they obviously know their stuff. That, combined with the fact Jensen Button is one of the most naturally gifted racing drivers in decades of F1, let alone British racing, and matched with a loyalty to the H badge regardless of his lack of success makes him a real jewel in their crown. Barichello hasnt gelled with the car since day one in my opinion, and although their problem was suspension two seasons ago in that they couldnt transfer the power to the tyres effectively in the exits of the corners, it seems to now be something different. Get it fixed!!! (My CRX is fine though :P)

I think the banger racing goes up as far as Sheffield (not sure if that is where you live) Now that is real motorsport, everything is mangled beyond recognition, the chance of something blowing up at any point is good/very good, and a bunch of pikey type monkeys hammering broken oily bits back on to the ‘cars’ for another few smashes :) Plus, its 75% you’ll get pickpocketed, stabbed, or get food poisoning from the burger vans probably operating illegally and almost certainly ran by people who dont wash their hands. You cant beat that.

Nope. Nowhere near. I’m about 45mins from Silverstone, the Home of British Racing. I’m going to 5 Grand Prix this year, culminating in pit straight tickets at Monza. Well, someone has to sort out those Ferrari fans…

hey man ,i apolgize for my comment, didn’t mean it to sound the way it did, if you would said you were from england and asked whats goin, i could of sent a couple of links to whats happening in new brunswick, as for the flooding that happens in england ,yes we do here about it over, i normally read the bbc’s website, good source of information to whats happening in the world.

No probs Goofy…easy mistake. You guys are so lucky to have Matthew – he is a National Treasure, no mistake. It breaks my heart to think he is not so well known here in Europe. But, than again, I like to feel smug knowing that most of those around me are listening to sh*t, while I can listen to the sweetest music ever. The internet is suppose to be a place where you can go and do what you want without being stopped by anyone and these two companies have shut out an entire province to net neutrality. Who knows, maybe they are just trying to grab all the money they can before something like the grid can be implemented into commercial applications, effectively killing them (for those of you who don’t know about the grid, http://www.memphisrap.com/cgi-bin/content/pub9990263694155.cgi?itemid=9990285095284 ). The grid is basically the internet on a week long crack binge. You would be able to download a full HD movie in 3 seconds.

Good video on net neutrality - it really sums it up quite well. I really hope this is a battle we can win against controlled media. There are rumours of a June election coming up, but I am doubtful. If there is, however, you can bet that I’ll be contacting my MP’s to let them know how young voters feel about net neutrality, and getting others to do the same.

I’d hate to see this excellent little website be drowned out by the corporate web.

Anyway, all the heavy rains in Ontario, Quebec and Maine, coupled with the snow finally melting - which was record hitting this winter - means all this water is heading down the Saint John river. This river cuts through NB on its way to the Atlantic. There’s plenty of low-lying areas that haven’t flooded like this in… well, long as I can remember. I’m dry where I am and hubby can make it to work. He has to cross the river at Hartland and says it’s pretty high there.

And net neutrality - yeah I’ve been writing online a long, long time. We need all the dissenting voices we can get. Individual expression is an important thing for *everyone*. (I’m tired - that’s all I got. :D ) Going against media & their perceptions can be an uphill battle at times. See, I homeschool my kids and… yeah, you just thought of a stereotype right there, didn’t you? :D But our family is normal, and in good days outright fantastic.

And my oldest daughter is one of Matt’s biggest fans and his posts have lead to interesting household discussions and *education*. Not sheltering, not bias, as our kids are allowed to have differing opinions than us.

I am afraid our news here in the UK didn’t report on it. Did you see the news about the terrible flooding we endured here recently, when Sheffield was virtually submerged? No, I thought not..
I made a genuine enquiry, having just logged on very late at night after an intense day at work.
Yes, believe it or not, I am intelligent enough to have a career…quite a lucrative one, actually, in advertising. It pays enough to allow me to blow half a month’s salary to fly to Toronto for 2 days see Matthew in Kingston at the end of the month.
