Kinks & Exploder: Website Changes Update

Space September 8, 2008, Administrator

We continue to work on a few outstanding issues with regards to the latest website changes. If you’re experiencing funky strange things please report them to us and we’ll try and address them promptly.

EXPLODER SUPPORT

Oh you randy bastards using a 7 year-old dilapidated browser. Don’t you think it was your whining and crying that got us to support your tired old beast.

That said, we’ll be adding support as soon as we can figure out some workarounds for common IE issues. We’re working through a priority list and truth be told IE6 was always in the cards but we wanted to launch this weekend so we put up the site full-well knowing the Exploder monsters would come out to play… and are adding in the last of the little pieces as we finish them.

Expect support for IE sometime tomorrow (the horseman will let you pass).

Not a complaint- site is fantastic in FF
Any chance of a “back to top” button? would be very useful when following a conversation in comments when there are a ton. (particularly for those of us lazy folk with touch pad laptops.)
Just a though…… love the new design

Thank you and great to hear, for those of us who were trying to thwart the corporate IT overlords and covertly switch to different browers…yay! I’m going to bed.
    The site looks fabulous.

Do you have the go-go dancers & free cocktails that we have in Firefox?

I use IE 7, but i still think its a good thing you will support IE 6. I’d imagine having the largest potential number of internet users able to view your site would be a good thing for yourselves. There’s a lot of IE 6′ers out there i’m sure who don’t visit here regularily enough to bother updating their browser for one website.

All-important tagline update: all on one line now in my Firefox! Still no dice on the home page “ad” banner, though. Jeez. You’d think I was using a Microsoft product.

Looks better already. Four hours ago, all I could see on the site was the Flickr panel and the right-side menu. Not even Safari, Firefox and Opera seemed to make it work.

Bah, I can’t stand Internet Explorer. You KNOW it’s a bad browser when you can’t even figure out where to find the About section so you can identify which version it is. It doesn’t even have a File button… whatever version it is!

Aw, I supported your non-IE6 ways. More people gotta take a stand against that crap, man. Humanity’s naĆ®ve unwillingness to upgrade their crappy-enough-as-is browser results in a lot of wasted work hours & frustration for me personally; I’m currently slaving at my webdev job attempting to repair some IE-only bugs. The longer I spend on this, the more I wanna kick some sorry Micro$oft butt…

When Barack Obama is president, may IE be outlawed!

Yeah, we regret having to do it, but at the end of the day not supporting 32% of our visitors isn’t right, no matter what they use.

IE8 w/ Beta was working fine last night.

I’d still like to retain my membership with the Randy Bastards if you don’t mind.
