See What I Mean?
September 9, 2008, Matthew Good
Apologies on the loss of my last entry. I was amending some of its content and hit the bloody delete post link instead of the save link. To be honest, their proximity is uncomfortably close, especially for someone like me that tends to be doing three things online at once. I’d dig out the initial entry from the RSS feed, but I’ve lost a considerable amount of additional information that I had added to the entry and am not in the mood to redo it. Yes, yes, I tend to close Word without saving as well. I have too many documents on my computer as it is, so I tend not to when writing entries unless they’re of substantial length or ones that I’ve been working on over a period of time.

Hello person using a computer. It seems that you have not registered or logged in to comment. We're going to need you to go ahead and do one of those for us.

you’d think that the genius’ who designed this software would have had the intelligence to put the two on opposite ends of the page…
Didn’t even see the last entry.. booooooo ya.
what you Good for, uh?

I’m not sure if I’ve ever seen an “I’m An Idiot” tag, I wonder if you could turn that in to a personalized license plate, ohhh bumper stumpers how I miss you.
tee hee.. me too.
Oh, make no mistake, I am an idiot.

We should all be such idiots…
it happens to the best of us at the most impromptu times.
ah, the anxiety experienced when doing this sort of thing at work :3
I always click “Cancel” when I really mean “Save” when I’m saving a file for the first time. I’ve even been known to do it twice in a row. I also regularly click the wrong icon in the dock when I want to start up an app. Apparently clumsiness even translates to mouse use.
If you had a university degree this wouldn’t happen.
Aw, can you repost it? dieing to know what the heck you wrote. inquiring minds are standing by.
Ha ha at Patrick.. ever heard of Rachel um.. never mind.

I made a “things I’ve buggered up” tag.
Ah, too bad. The last line was pretty good.

Hah!
I guess that must mean my whole life is a failure.
Dale and I are gonna change the CSS so there’s a big “NO” sign on the delete button, kind of like Apollo 13.
LOL - Story of my life. Especially the saving of your documents depending on their length and research.
Yep, I’ve lost a lot of good stuff doing that. Problem is I don’t consciously remind myself to do those things until after, or I think of it, and then it just becomes lost and I’m too focused on something else or keeping up with an idea to care.

Put a Flintstones spin on it- have a big foam sledge hammer come out and give ‘em a bonk on the head when the delete button is used. A really loud alarm would probably also be a lot fun for the neighbors.
sweetheart, you are a far cry from idiocy
shit happens to the best of us
and a little imperfection makes you more believably human ;)
all the abstracted professor…. ;))

No mistake. You are not an idiot. I have only just been able to log on here in darkest, highest Italy; love the new website BTW, though WTF happened to the cardboard box??? I LOVED [the idea of] that box ;0)
