There is a federal election going on in Canada right now. And there are a lot of the same whitewashing of political stripes... as the leader of the Conservative party used to be the leader of the "Reform" party, which seems but a distant memory now....

It seems that again, the pig has a different shade of lipstick and maybe a wig.

"Is there any Canadian content on this site? I thought there was an election on?"
Fair enough Chris, who do you think Harper will be working for if he wins, Obama or McCain? If Harper doesn't win, maybe he can go work for Haliburton. Layton may actually have some shot but our voter base is largely 45 yrs. old and up. As far as the average complacent folk in that age group is concerned, PC is Canada. Dion's not gettin' much support... Maybe an NDP opposition (not necessarily a bad thing). NDP leadership could send the republicans into a fit of saving the world from the evil Canadian socialist scourge, no?

Fucking beautiful, it's about time people start sticking the blame where it belongs.

Bush and Cheney have raped the Constitution, let 9/11 happen, sent thousands of Americans to die in wars that are proving NOTHING while killing hundreds of thousands of civilians and destroying entire societies. Meanwhile the spineless Republicans in Congress have backed them up while stuffing their own pockets and diddling interns (Cunningham, Delay, Foley, Stevens etc..)

It would truly amaze me if people in the U.S. didn't figure out that since McCain hasn't disavowed the last eight years of Bush and his party he therefore supports them.

The U.S. economy is in the toilet, thousand of Americans are adjusting to lost relatives, there's another generation of vets learning to live with severe physical and emotional disabilities, while the rich have gotten richer under the Republicans.

The whole Spirit of 1776 was to get rid of this kind of arrogance and greed, America is fucked if it doesn't wake up in time for November.

The Republicans - the great window dressers of American Politics - Bush, Reagan, Nixon
Palin, another pretty face to feed us a bunch of garbage - classic!

Out of her mouth, believed by so many conservative Americans who trust (Denial Anonymous)

1. Alaska 20% of US energy - lie - so now saying 15% of oil and gas - lie
The facts. 3.5 of US energy - approximately 13-15% of just oil

2. I've been to Iraq - lie -
Even if she visited a border crossing between Iraq and Kuwait to touch Iraqi soil, it's window dressing. Fact according to Alaskan National Guard - Palin never went into Iraq.

3. As part of the countries I've visited - Ireland
Fact - Palin did see Ireland from the airport as her plane refueled

Bill Bennett - Conservative Radio host
He would not refute the evidence but called these facts inconsequential. "This is small stuff."

At this point, I'm surprised any American believes anything that Republicans say. They lied about the Iraq War. They lied about Katrina before they were forced to tell the truth (FEMA). They lied about energy. They lied about any evidence of Global Warming.

Everyone needs to join together as Matt's Army to bring TRUTH to light. I work every day sharing information and debating with conservative republicans in my world.

We can either FIGHT or give up. Matt's always been a fighter. Call, email, chat, and blog everywhere you can to influence the tone of the discussion. Even a pebble thrown in the ocean creates ripples.

I can't wait for the debates.

And, that argument about substance and empty rhetoric, you <a href="http://andrewsullivan.theatlantic.com/the_daily_dish/2008/09/read-my-plan.html" rel="nofollow">decide</a> who to vote for.

Man it's hard to get both sides out of American media, Chris Matthews is great but let's give the guy a chance to talk - he'll take enough rope to hang himself. He's an Israeli extremist (that's not a comment on his religion, just his political view). Passionate about his view, Cantor has been Chairman of the Congressional Task Force on Terrorism and Unconventional Warfare. Isn't that a nice way of saying that he comes up with ideas for American sponsored terrorism? He also lost a cousin to an Islamic suicide bomber in 2006, nobody deserves to lose family and that is very sad, but isn't it also a conflict of interest given his position? ya I'm pretty sure he'd take lots of rope...
