Although I’m a fan of number 11, Junior will be great in 2008! (And as for Gordon– he’s still not straight in 2008)

I was watching the race on TV. It was really exciting - so close. Also fantastic to see Dale Jr. finally win. His huge smile after the race just said it all. Congratulations Dale! Hopefully this is the start to a terrific season.

Yeah I saw that race he looked driven.

I was cheerin for Truex Jr. but when he sunk to the back it was good to see the new car fight them off like that.

Good to see JR. have an engine that actually lasts an entire race.

Congrats to Dale for sure. He seems like a real stand-up guy and deserves every win that he gets.
BUT, it might be the ADD in me, but no matter how much I try, I just can’t get excited or pumped up about watching nascar. All I see are a bunch of car-esque machines ( the cars aren’t even street legal) going around and around in a circle all day and if it wasn’t for the little super-imposed pointer, I personally wouldn’t know who’s in the lead. Not to say that it isn’t an extreme and dangerous form of motorsports, of course it is.
For me personally its tough being a fervent Rally fan and trying to watch a nascar event. I’ve had the opportunity to ride in a couple of rally cars on test stages, been a rally team photographer for 15 or so rallies, have worked a couple of rallies as a volunteer, and have met and/or hung out with a number of the drivers and co-drivers. As for nascar, I have never seen an event in person or watched an entire race on tv, so my exposure and experience is extremely lop sided and biased and perhaps unfairly so.
Still though, I’ll take a rally car jumping, sliding sideways, going flat out through the forest on a gravel logging road during sun, rain, snow, or mud any day!
okay okay, I’ll shut up now and leave, making sure that door doesn’t hit me in the ass on the way out :)

I want to congragulate him as well, seeing all those pace cars whip around lap after lap
ripping ashphalt with rubber reminds me of the ozone layer being raped by those very same cars exhaust. I mean wow such beauty such grace and style. Shit an annual smog fest is in order you know. Every industialized power plant can burn off twice as many carbon emmisions into the atmosphere all at once. Whoever burns off the fastest wins free oxygen tanks for all of their civillians. All the rest can dwell in the fact knowing that it not only takes the best to win, but the best to live. It is the ultimate in team work sports I’d think. It beats the Christmas parade because you would just hold it in the summer months. That way there is no disputing the power of destruction that this will hold. I know they have my vote!!! Lets all get this started together. We can all have something to live for again, something that can bring us together, and define our differences. This will not be something that race, nor religion can discriminate against. Every living thing will die I assure you this much. Hell if women thought the vote made them equal just imagine what the festival will do.

shit man who needs it when your lungs will be powder coated for maximum extreme awesome!!!! Also you might be pre-occupied trying to get your hands on some oxygen, you might want your wits about you. I’m glad that there is somebody thats on-board I’ll get a hold of Disney, we’ll need some advertisements, and after the event they can make next summers new blockbuster hit. “A World Without Air.” The Dale Jr. Story. (seeing as he is the very foundation of this idea) I’m pumped already!!!!!

My father has been a long time fan of Jeff Gordon and his team and the Earnheart’s from the very beginning. He called me up yesterday to turn on the ShootOut ( our tradition to watch Nascar on Sundays) and later raved that Jr. won!!

So happy, so proud…He hasn’t won a race for a few years and I hear he ia absolutely smitten with the great cars they have to drive over at Hendrick!! Glad to see he is now on a team that he can really progress in…

In fact I think the whole team (all 4 cars) finished in the top 6…!!!

You guys rock and have an Allstar team now!!! Congrads and good luck at the Daytona next week!!!
