Duane grew up in a small town, but eventually migrated to the big city, and now calls Vancouver home.
He has a master’s degree in computer engineering, and is an active contributor to many open-source projects centered around blogging. When not out fighting crime, he can sometimes be found writing software for a local voice over IP company.
He has been writing on various blogs for over five years now, but has been peddling his opinions on the internet for far longer than that.
Duane is also a very active photographer, and typically shoots several hundred photos each week. One area of particular interest is in the area of high dynamic range imagery (HDR), a relatively new technique that will ultimately achieve more realistic photos.
