Since 1997, Matthew Good has been writing short fiction, prose, political commentary, and personal exposures on his official website. In those eleven years the face and name of this website has changed, content has come and gone, and it has even been altogether removed with adamant promises that it would never return. But for some reason it always does, primarily because of the interest and support of its readership.

Be it Matthew’s music, anti-war and human rights advocacy, or his openness about his personal struggles, those that frequent this website know that Matthew’s passion for these topics is surpassed only by his blatant and sometimes uncomfortable openness about them, a characteristic that the press has often promoted as an unwelcome ‘abrasiveness’, an ‘accolade’ which has permeated his entire career.

Human Rights

We have a responsibility to those seeking just and equal rights to ensure that we, the inhabitants of nations which promote the equality of all people, do not allow our perception of just and equal rights to be altered or diminished. In the wake of September 11th, the United States, Great Britain, and even Canada, have been guilty of contributing to a decline in global human rights standards because of actions taken in the War on Terror. We must therefore ensure, for the sake of future generations and those who do not have a voice, that we remain vigilant and pledged to the maxim that we must not, as free thinking and compassionate people, allow our apathy and insularity to result in a further decline in global human rights standards.
