The new backend admin features for Wordpress are pretty cool. Even cooler is the fact that Dale customized our layout. One of its downsides, unfortunately, is the fact that audio upload sizes are pretty restricted, making it basically impossible for me to throw up teasers on a whim.
Another cool development is the addition of video [...]

First up this morning, two quick film reviews…
Redacted
Based on the rape and murder of a teenaged Iraqi girl in Mahmoudiya (and the execution of other members of her family) by US Marines manning a nearby checkpoint, the film is a wake up call that received little to no attention in the United States. While the [...]

I forgot to post reviews of a few new films out on DVD the last time I did it, so here are the ones that I missed. As always, they’re brief and to the point.
Michael Clayton
First, George Clooney is outstanding. Second, the story itself is amazing – especially the film’s conclusion.
South Park: Season 11

As you can all see, we have a new site design. The truth is that it’s not actually new; it was a design that we used over a year ago. After re-designing the site after its use, Dale made it a Wordpress theme available for download, so if you want to use this theme, and [...]

Tuesdays mean the release of new DVD’s. That being the case, I usually find myself up until almost five in the morning watching those films that have been released that I’ve been waiting for. In some cases, I randomly choose films, which can lead to both disappointment and pleasant surprises.

2 AM, sirens down the street, nothing out of the ordinary. Haven’t been sleeping much, not really for the last 26 hours or so. Been recording a lot, can’t get God Only Knows out of my head, the Wrecking Crew, lush 60’s sonics. Came across a tribute to Ike Turner earlier today, didn’t mention him [...]

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away (otherwise known as Santa Monica), it was in the dining room at a friend’s house that I found out that the Matthew Good Band had won two Junos. I was, as many of you know, not at the awards show to accept them.
The year was [...]

Over the course of the tour we’ve watched a lot of DVD’s. One of my personal favourites to watch on a tour bus is the full-length version of Das Boot, basically because being on a tour bus is somewhat like being in a submarine, especially when you’re in bed (minus the depth charges, of course). [...]
