Making America Great Again

Someone in the White House needs to read the DSM-5.

I’ve no doubt that Donald Trump can be categorized as having ASPD. Its definitions fits him exactly.

  • Deceitfulness - including repeated lying or conning others.

  • Impulsivity - the failure to plan ahead.

  • Irritability and aggressiveness - indicated by repeated fights or assaults.

  • Failure to conform to social norms regarding lawful behaviors.

  • Consistent irresponsibility with respect to work.

  • A lack of remorse -  hurting, mistreating, or stealing from others.

Madness

As someone who suffers from a mental illness, watching Trump is like watching a mental heath train wreck. And no one talks about it in any meaningful way.

This is a man that commands the second largest nuclear arsenal in the world, whose domestic policies have left destitute the nation’s poor, whose international policies have led the lowest point in modern American history.

Despite all these things, and more, his mental state proclaims him the greatest president in American history. No other president has ever proclaimed themselves as such in 250 years.

Lies

In Mein Kampf Hitler addressed the ability to manipulate the masses. His focus was very simple. That a population is more likely to believe a significant and widespread falsehood than a small one, and that in repetition such falsehoods become the norm.

I highly doubt that Donald Trump is aware of history. If he is, he’s applied Hitler’s prescription for democracy to the letter.

Lincoln

Without question, Abraham Lincoln remains the greatest president in the history of the United States. He is the only democratically elected leader to submit to a democratic election in the midst of a civil war. An election that he won. Through his initiatives he would first emancipate the slaves and then, by way of the 13th Amendment, free them for all time. Had it not been for his assassination, reconstruction may have unfolded differently.

Donald Trump is simply nowhere close to being Lincoln. He’s nowhere close to being Rosevelt. In fact, he’s nowhere close to being Eleanor Rosevelt.

Fantasy Land

Sometimes I wake up and think Trump might have renamed Europe - America something or other. Maybe parts of Asia as well. Let’s face it, the US has approximately 750 military bases globally in some 80 different countries. That means that they have the largest network of foreign military installations in history of the world. Might as well make them America this and that. Only stands to reason.
