I’m making a record as of yesterday. It will be an imperfect sounding record compared to what’s out there. And that’s how I want it. I want it to be real, scrappy, and somewhat underproduced.
The album features new songs and a few that were lost in the past that I believe should have been recorded. Either way, I’m enjoying it.
I’m doing it in a small, out of the way studio in Toronto. I’ve recorded in world class studios during my career but this place feels right for this. No nonsense, no ostentatious flummery, just straight to it.
For 20+ years, your music has Stanned me. Every album has brought me through a particular period of life- and can only say I was gagged when Hospital Music arrived- Avalanche had just been released while I spent my own time in the psych ward in crisis and to this day, hearing you sing
