Second Sons

On June 6th, 1944, Canadians landed on Juno Beach. Like Canadian actions in Italy, their objective was to defeat Nazism. My grandfather was in the RAF, my great uncles in the army. That said - “Indigenous Canadians, including First Nations, Métis, and Inuit personnel, served in significant numbers during D-Day.” Despite the wrongs done to them, they still served this nation as Canadians.

Fast forward to September 27th of this year…

“A group of masked men, identified as members of Second Sons Canada, a white nationalist organization, gathered on the Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc reserve near Kamloops. The demonstration, which occurred just days before the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, involved approximately 30 individuals wearing white face coverings and black clothing who displayed a banner reading "Got bones?" on the Pacific Way overpass, a message widely interpreted as denying the existence of children’s remains at the former Kamloops Indian Residential School.”

The Hilarity Of The Second Sons Of Canada

The group was founded by a man named Jeremy MacKenzie. Look him up to see just how ridiculous he is, including criminal charges.

The irony of the group is that it only has roughly 2,000 members. The current Canadian adult population is 33.1 million people - so it’s actually quite hilarious. In truth, it’s pretty good to know where that speck of the population is.

The Masks

Nothing screams dedication to a cause more than wearing a mask to hide your identity. I’m going to say something highly disturbing - even the Nazis didn’t cover their faces.

There’s a hilarity to it if I’m to be honest. If you can’t stand up for what you profess to believe without hiding your identity then maybe you’re not exactly committed to your beliefs.

At least circus clowns are - and they wear makeup.
